This beautiful Petite Sirah represents exactly the kind of wine that Clay Shannon is known for: A full-bodied wine with intensity and just the right amount of spice.
Intense color, with aromas of black- berries and blueberries, vanilla and roasted coffee. On the palate you find a full body wine, blueberry, black tea, dark chocolate, sweet baking spices, cream with a firm, complex and round tannins finish.
Bright fruit, spice, texture, and all of the tannin is a hallmark of the high elevation vineyards of Lake County. The dark fruits, old world characters and dried herbs come from the lower elevations of north Napa County. Aged 12 months in oak (30% French).
